CHOW CHOW HISTORY

 

Monks took up this very special race - a calm and dignified guardians with a formidable deterrent and looks to keep away evil spirits from the temples. Chow Chow was also used for many other things in his home country of China. It could serve as a hunting dog.

Legend has it that chow chow is the result of a successful alliance between a male lion's love and a chosen fat little female bear - which is very tempting to believe, when a chow chow is confusingly similar to both a bear and a lion at the same time!

Appearance
Chow Chow has a very singular and noble appearance - with her blue tongue, majestic charisma and its confusing similarity of both bears and lions at the same time - distinguishes it from all other breeds. The blue-black tongue is its hallmark and pride. Chow (or chaou) in Chinese means "big, strong dog", as it is, with a withers at 46-56 cm and weighing 20-35 kg. It is available in both long and shorthair and is available in most colors - red, black, cream, fawn and blue

 

Temperament is the independent, peaceful, faithful, but reserved. Chow is moderate - but awe and good guard dogs - but a quiet, such as not to be on time and out of season. They are calm, level-headed, independent but loyal and devoted his entire family.

 

Chow Chow requires either no hours of exercise to be happy, but satisfied with a little regular exercise, even if it is just like many other dogs like and feel good activation both mentally and physically.

The coat is relatively easy, it is usually with a proper brushing by someone once a week, at no more precipitation. The shed twice a year, but it is best to loosen the undercoat. Chow is a clean dog and is one of the easiest breeds to toilet training.
